Self defense and feminism in Pakistan

Before the blog:

I am from pakistan as some of you know and here its almost like the women like abuse because they are themselves against feminism and the concept of strong, independant women who can stand for themselves. I am not going to talk about the LGBTQ community cause they're totally outcasted here and it's almost like the 1600s in america where they would burn them for being open about it.

Hey,

I think that the majority of women where I live are sexist against themselves; if a women is the leader and the foundation of her home and family other women won't appreciate that cause it's actually progressive for women's rights, but instead they'll start talking behind her back to people about how she's destroying years of tradition and breaking god's law. People even try to make things that are not sexist, sexist like religion. I just think that there is a huge lack of awareness over here.

Like sensible people I think that every women should know how to defend herself and should know know how to be independant. But even when that happens and people are being a little smart these women just can't stop; they'll start gong on about how they're being so un ladylike and how they're queer and just blasphemers.

Some places; no matter how much people try they just can't bring change because when we look at the big picture: change can only happened when people want change.

I feel like this post was mostly cathartic but I still think I am adressing a very important issue here.
